Horizontal or vertical lines on an iMac are not always a dead panel. On Intel 21.5" and 27" machines we regularly see T-con, cable, GPU/board, and true panel failures — each with a different quote.

- Note whether an external display (if you have one via USB-C/HDMI adapter) is clean.

Can you repair iMac display lines without replacing the whole screen?
Sometimes. T-con, LVDS/eDP cable, and board faults can cause lines while the panel is still good. Cracked glass or heavy ink-spread usually needs a panel.
